Such candidates will be required to obtain Ph.D degree within a period of seven years from the date of appointment as Assistant Professor. OR C-Candidates from industry / profession with first class Bachelor’s Degree / first class Master’s Degree in Computer Science & Engineering /Technology of a recognized University or equivalent and professional work which is significant and can be recognized as equivalent to Ph.D Degree and with five years industrial / professional experience would also be eligible. 33 yrs. Qualifications : Essential : A. Educational : Degree in Civil Engineering of a

23. Five lecturers (Hindi) in Jawaharlal Nehru Rajkeeya Mahavidyalaya, (JNRM),
Port Blair, Andaman and Nicobar Administration. Out of five posts, one post is reserved
for OBC candidates. Of the five posts, one post is reserved for Physically handicapped
[with disability of Orthopaedically Handicapped /Locomotor disability/Cerebral Palsy
(One or Both Legs affected)] persons from any community. The posts are also suitable
for Physically Handicapped persons with above mentioned disabilities. Rs.8000-13500
(T.E. Rs.17640) (Pre-revised). Age : 35 yrs. Qualifications: Essential: Educational:
i) Good Academic record with at least 55% of marks or an equivalent grade of B in the
7 point scale with letter grades 0,A,B,C,D,E and F at the Master’s Degree level in Hindi
from an Indian University or an equivalent Degree from a Foreign University. Explanation:
The term ‘Good Academic Record’ means at least Second Class with Fifty Percent marks
in Graduation Degree, ii) Should have cleared the eligibility test (NET) for Lecturers
conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC. Note : I : NET shall
remain the compulsory requirement for appointment as Lecturer for those with Post
Graduate degree. However, the candidates having Ph.D degree in the concerned
subjects are exempted from “NET” for PG level and UG level teaching. The candidates
having M.Phil degree in the concerned subject are exempted from “NET” for UG level
teaching only. Note : II : Relaxation of 5% may be provided from 55% to 50% of the
marks to the Ph.D degree holders who have passed Master’s degree prior to 19″ September
1991. Note -III : ‘B’ in the 7 point scale with letter grades 0,A,B,C,D,E & F shall be
regarded as equivalent of 55% wherever the grading system is followed. Note -IV : A
relaxation of minimum marks at the PG level from 55% to 50% may be provided to the
candidates who have cleared the Junior Research Fellowship Examination conducted
by UGC/CSIR only prior to 1989 when minimum marks required to appear for JRF
examination was 50%.
