Rajni Razdan new member of UPSC

Former IAS officer Rajni Razdan today took over as Member of the Union Public Service Commission. A 1973-batch IAS officer of the Haryana cadre, Razdan was administered oath by Professor D P Agrawal, Chairman, UPSC. Razdan, who was former Secretary, Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances, has earlier held several important assignments both in Haryana and at the Centre.
Her assignments at the Centre included Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Food and Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions. Author of a number of publications, she became Secretary in the Department of Pension and Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances in February 2007 and retired in November, 2009.
