This advertisement is issued subject to the final decision, in the Appeal No.9673/2009 and Appeal No.9706/2009 in

O.A.No.426/2008 and O.A. No.532/2008 in the Hon’ble High Court, Mumbai.

2. Reservation for Physically challenged persons :

As per Supplementary G.R. No. -2006/(160/™-2/06)/»w-2, dated 13th February, 2009, the Physically Challenged Persons amongst Blindness/ Low Vision (Only Low Vision category), Hearing Impairment (Only Partially Deaf category), and Locomotor Disabilities / Celebral Palsy ( Both Leg Affected / One Leg Affected / One Arm Affected category) are eligible to apply for the said post. However, it is noted that there is no reservation for the said post.

3. PAY : Rs.37400-67000/- plus academic grade pay Rs.10000/- , other admissible allowances as per prevalent rules.

(Total emolument Approx. Rs. 70,000/- per month)

4. AGE :

4.1 Not more than 45 years as on 1st July, 2010 ( Relaxable as per Rules )

4.2 The age limit may be relaxed by five years in case of a candidate already in service of the Government of Maharashtra.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Candidates must possess……………

5.1 Master’s Degree in Law (LL.M.) with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale with latter grades O, A, B, C,D, E, & F.

5.2 Ph. D. or equivalent published work, (in Law).

5.3 Total experience of 15 years of teaching / Research, (in Law), in Universities / Colleges and other institutions of higher education.

5.4 Can read, write and speak Marathi language with fluency.

  2. 7. GENERAL : Selected candidates shall be on probation for a period of two years.

8.1 For Ph.D. equivalence, status is “at least 5 international publications or 10 national publications in referred journals is desirable “.

Experience during Ph.D. work shall not be counted as experience in research.

The research project should be externally funded research projects of National level Government / Semi Government organisation such as UGC, CSIR, DST, ICSSR and such other institutions.

The column No.6.2 of the old application regarding ‘Do you claim reservation’ OR column No. 5.1 of the new application regarding ‘Do you claim benefits of reservation such as Fee, Age and the Post reserved for Backward Categories’ shall stand deleted. However, the backward class candidates and General Female candidates belonging to the Non-Creamy Layer section, will have to claim regarding NCL. In these circumstances both the applications, old as well as new, submitted by the candidate, will be accepted by the Commission.

In addition the candidates should attach separate sheet of proforma-A for details of qualification regarding experience/research/ publications as per column 18, 24.1 in new application form or 32.1 in old application form, failing which, it will be treated as incomplete and will be rejected. The Commission at its discretion may shortlist the applicants for interview based on reasonable criteria i.e. consistent good academic record and/or experience and/or higher qualification, etc. OR may conduct Written objective type (multiple choice question) screening test to shortlist candidates for interview. The syllabus and medium of question paper and other details for the test shall be displayed on the Commission’s Website. The prescribed essential qualification were the minimum qualification and a mere possession of minimum qualification does not entitle candidate to be called for interview. Where the number of application received in response to an advertisement is large in numbers and it will not be convenient or possible for Commission to interview all the candidates the Commission may restrict the number of candidates to a reasonable limit on the basis of qualification and experience higher than minimum prescribed in the advertisement. Copies of required certificates should be attached along with the Application Form and also copies of certificates as mentioned in Profoma-A. However, candidates are required to furnish an affidavit on a stamp paper of Rs.100/- to be affirmed before Notary in respect of correctness and authenticity of the information mentioned in the application form. Specimen of affidavit is published on the Commission’s web site in the ‘Specimen Form of Affidavit for Direct Recruitment Posts’ section.

The Application Form should be accompanied by an affidavit, failing which it is treated as incomplete and will be rejected..

APPLICATION FORM AND PROSPECTUS :-

9.1 The Application must be submitted on the form supplied by the Commission for Direct Recruitment

9.4 The price for Application Form along with Prospectus is Rs.100/.

9.5 The Application Form should be used only once and for one post only.

9.6 The Application form along with Prospectus is available only in the selected Post Offices and no arrangement for the sale is made in the office of the Maharashtra Public Service Commission. The request for sending Application form by post will not be entertained.

9.7 Candidates are advised to purchase the Application Forms along with Prospectus for “Direct Recruitment” only (In Red Colour) (Not for Competitive Examination) from designated post offices only.

9.8 In case of any difficulty about availability of Application Forms the candidate should contact the concerned Post Master or Maharashtra Public Service Commission’s Office on the Telephone Numbers mentioned above in the heading of the advertisement.

FEE

10.1 For Open Category Candidates – Rs. 400/­10.2 For Backward Class Candidates – RS. 200/­10.3 Fee should be paid in the Post Office by cash alongwith Application.

11. PLACE FOR SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FORM AND LAST DATE FOR RECEIPT OF APPLICATION FORMS

11.1 The filled up Application form alongwith required certificates, affidavit, summary sheet, Proforma-A for details of qualifications / experiences and fee will be accepted only at any of the designated Post Offices mentioned in the prospectus in their working hours on or before 5th April, 2010.

11.2 Application form will not be accepted in the Office of the Maharashtra Public Service Commission under any circumstances or no enquiry in that behalf will be entertained.
