IITB-Monash Research Academy offers PhD Programme 2010
The IITB-Monash Research Academy (The Academy) is an exciting partnership between the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IITB) and Monash University, Melbourne (Australia) – two of the world’s leading educational and research Institutions.
The Academy, has designed a jointly-badged PhD. program in which students can undertake interdisciplinary research in several thematic areas focusing on the fields of Science, Technology and Engineering.
The Academy’s June 2010 intake will focus students to work In areas of applied partners.
The Academy is offering attractive PhD Scholarships to suitable candidates. As a PhD student you will be based at The Academy In IIT Bombay. You will work with an elite team of academics and students on one of the following research themes:
Advanced computational engineering, simulation and manufacture
- Infrastructure engineering
- Dean energy
- Water
- Nanotechnology
- Biotechnology and Stem Cell Research
Opportunities exist for candidates to work closely with industrial R&D labs.
Candidates with a first class Masters Degree in Engineering or Science from a reputed university or a Bachelors/Masters Degree (with a high GPA) from the IITs, NTTs or BITS should take advantage of this unique opportunity to acquire an internationally recognized qualification and pursue a career in research. Although not a prerequisite, candidates who have been highly placed In GATE or CRE should apply.
